The transfiguration of Jesus in the presence of His three disciples Peter, James, and John, was a very special event to prepare them for Jesus' future suffering on the cross. God will give us confirmation and assurance to equip us to do important things for ourselves and Him. When they have any doubt, they can always remember this very special event. The transfiguration and meeting with Moses and Elijah confirmed Jesus' identity as Son of God as proclaimed by His Father.
The disciples were not aware of the need and power of prayer - they slept while Jesus prayed.
Are we sleeping in an urgent time? Should we be praying?
We are to listen to Jesus' messages and instructions.
