At times, it is so much easier to follow the rules rather than extend a helping hand, especially in today's world of scams, hacks, and deceptions to cheat. People's hearts will grow cold because of all the cheating. Nevertheless, may God give us the wisdom to detect and the strength and boldness to do the right and good thing despite the pressures.
Lessons:
- Sabbath is for the benefits of man.
- Mark 2: 27 Then Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath.
- Compassion over Legalism:
- It ok to heal and help on Sabbaths.
- Challenging Religious Hypocrisy:
- Go by the truth and not by our prejudices or wrong beliefs. Be open-minded.
- Importance of action:
- Jesus doesn't just discuss the lawfulness of healing on the Sabbath, he takes action and heals the man.
