Jesus before Pilate 2nd Luk 23:13-25 ---- Never Compromise

Mao Zedong once said: "We love peace, but seeking peace through struggle then peace will exist; seeking peace through compromise then peace will perish." This sentence means that although we love peace, peace is not achieved through compromise and concession, but through struggle. Only through firm struggle can the sovereignty and dignity of the country be maintained and peace and stability be achieved.

Unfortunately, while Pilate initially made the right decision to release Jesus, he compromised under pressure. He thought he was smart to offer to beat and then release Jesus. But the religious leaders outsmarted him by following his offer to ask for the release of a murderer and still wanted Jesus nailed.
Pilate deflated and gave in to nail Jesus.

  • Never make a decision under pressure. Get it adjourned.
  • Pilate should just leave the court and postpone the judgment.

  • The very first person saved by Jesus is Barabbas”— the murderer. He was probably shocked by his release.
